It's one of most popular discussions when it comes to Networks. Though most of people can answer this now stating that it's BDR which gets elected first. But not many people understand "WHY ?" behind it.
Also more importantly there is less popular timer in OSPF world known as "WAIT TIMER" which in some way is also related to DR/BDR Election.

ReplyDeletei read the links but still point is why BDR elect first............as link say it check highest priority in hello massage if it tie than highest router id break the tie but why BDR choose first not mention.............pls u clear the doubts...
